Lentera Aksara Negeri

Enlighten the Future of Indonesian Education

About Us

Building Hope,
Building the Nation

Lentera Aksara Negeri Foundation is driven by the spirit of bringing real change in the field of education, especially in remote areas of Indonesia far from urban centers. We firmly believe that every child, no matter where they are, deserves access to quality education that can inspire them to achieve a brighter future.
With a vision to enhance the quality of education in these remote regions, Lentera Aksara Negeri is committed to providing educational support to formal schools in remote areas, including offering training for teachers and educators.

But our efforts do not stop here. In addition to supporting formal education, Lentera Aksara Negeri also facilitates the establishment of informal schools in remote areas. We offer opportunities for local communities, who are dedicated and passionate about improving education, to become volunteer teachers in their own regions. We provide the necessary facilities and educational materials to assist these volunteers. These volunteers act as “small candles,” lighting up villages across remote corners of Indonesia, helping to educate the nation’s next generation with the knowledge they have.

Through this foundation, we invite everyone to be part of this noble endeavor—whether as donors, volunteers, or partners supporting our activities. Together, we can build a bridge of hope for underprivileged children across Indonesia, ensuring they receive the education they rightfully deserve.

Our 1st Project

ALOR ISLAND

Located in the eastern part of Indonesia, this island is one of 92 officially listed outlying islands of the country. Inhabited by 171,297 people (80.6 persons/km2), this island has abundant potential for tourism. The healthy corals in its surroundings is a perfect spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. However, due to its remote position, this island is lack of infrastructure development including educational facilities.
